Luciana was brought up in Rome by her parents - Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi an Italian military officer. Her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's lover's wives. Her siblings aren't known. Luciana attended an elementary school in the area before going into the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two women in her class. Luciana began as an actress in fashion after two years. The direction of her career was changed afterwards, when by pure chance she landed her first acting role on screen in Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey is an actress who was her husband at first. The couple made Return to the Peyton Palace in 1960 following their married. Luciana received custody of Charles who was born on June 13, 1961. The couple split the following year. Luciana enjoyed a lengthy relationship with Tony Athony who was the actor and producer of films. Tony was influenced by the character of Luciana on Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
