Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. The young woman had a troubled childhood. The mother she had left when she was only two in order to get out of an abusive relationship. In 1995, she was returned into the world of Pickler and was granted custody. But things did not turn out as expected. Pickler was then 12 years old and was returned to her parents by judge. They took care of her till she was old enough to be an adult. Pickler had to be busy with her younger siblings in the absence of their parents. Pickler admitted she didn't find time to attend school, and she began how to be a homemaker from an early age. Pickler was a member of the cheerleading teams at both her middle and high school. Pickler graduated in 2004 from North Stanly High School. Pickler tried out her luck as a beauty queen. She had been named Miss Stanly.
